LA VERNE, CA - The Beavers continued their conference schedule with a Saturday morning contest against La Verne.

Despite the 14-4 setback there were a handful of highlights for Caltech.

Mary Boyajian found the back of the net for her first collegiate goal. Shalini Majumdar added a goal as well while Soumya Kannan added to her team lead by finding the back of the net twice. The sophomore now has 16 goals in 2014.

Connie Hsueh blocked 19 shots in front of the cage. It is the second time in the last three games she has posted at least 19 saves.

La Verne's offense was paced by Kimberly Lopez's and Stephanie Fugit's hat tricks.

The Beaver play their second to last home game of the season when they host Cal Lutheran on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
