PASADENA (Mar. 7, 2018) – Junior Katie Johnston (Livermore, Calif. / Livermore) found the back of the net four times against visiting Penn State University-Behrend on Tuesday evening.

Johnston, the Beavers' leading scorer thus far, scored her final goal in incredible fashion. Freshman goaltender Elaine Lowinger (North Miami, Fl. / Alonzo and Tracy Mourning Biscayne Bay Campus) found Johnston on a bomb from one end of the pool to the other, which the junior fired into the opposing net with less than one second remaining in regulation. One of Johnston's goals came on the powerplay and her offensive effectiveness is further evident in having drawn four exclusions from the Lions. The Beavers' other powerplay goal came in the second period when junior Hana Keller (Sammamish, Wash. / Tesla STEM) took a feed from sophomore Gabriella Chan (Colleyville, Texas / School for the Talented and Gifted) and scored on an accurate shot the opposing goalkeeper had little chance against. Keller also assisted on one of Johnston's goals. 

Head Coach Jon Bonafede and the Beavers will return to action the very next day at home against Occidental College, start time slated for 5 p.m.
