LOS ANGELES (Sept. 22, 2018) – The Caltech men's soccer team kept host Occidental College off the board for the first half of Saturday's SCIAC men's soccer game.

The Caltech defense held strong early and did not let a goal in until the 55th minute. Sophomore goalkeeper Joe Como (Glen Cove, N.Y. / Friends Acad.) played the entire game and picked up five saves for the visiting team. Junior Theo Yang (Columbia, Md. / Long Reach) and senior Nikhil Gupta (Herndon, Va. / Thomas Jefferson Science and Technology) each had shots on goal for the Beavers. 

Head Coach Phil Murray and the Beavers will have the week to train before hosting the University of La Verne on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 11 a.m.
