EAGLE ROCK, Calif. (May 7, 2022) – The Caltech men's and women's track and field teams were represented by three runners at the Oxy Invite on Saturday, all competing in the 1500m Run.  

Graduate student Margaret Trautner (Houston, Texas / MIT) represented the women's team, excelling once again in the 1500m Run. Trautner took 3rd place overall, crossing the finish line at 4:27.35 to break her own school record for the fourth time this season. The previous Caltech 1500m Run record of 4:32.60 was set by Trautner last weekend at SCIAC Championships. Moreover, the grad student's impressive performance moved her from 10th to 5th in nation for this event in Division III Outdoor Track and Field. 

Representing the men's team in the 1500m Run was sophomore Kyle Lethander (Dayton, Ohio / Oakwood) and Freshman Rohun Agrawal (Cupertino, Calif. / Monta Vista). Recording his third-best time this season, Lethander placed 6th in his heat and 43rd overall with a 4:05.25 finish. Rohun placed 9th in the same heat as his teammate and 52nd overall with a 4:11.32 finish.
