LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. – Caltech Women's Water Polo junior driver Emma Gurcan (Portland, Ore. / Lincoln) was named to the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference 2023 All-Conference Second Team, the conference recently announced.

This season, Gurcan's tenacious play set a program record for most exclusions drawn against opponents in a single game en route to an incredible 64 over the course of the season. She additionally led the Beavers in total steals and consistently provided offense with a team second-best points total (goals plus assists). She leads the team with 103 career points — 73 goals and 30 assists — in her two seasons played.
