PASADENA, Calif. — Caltech Athletics announced the 2023-24 women's basketball season schedule Friday afternoon.

Head Coach Annie Tarakchian will begin her second season at the helm with high hopes for a talented team through another challenging nonconference schedule ahead of an always-competitive SCIAC campaign.

The Beavers will open their year on Oct. 27 with a Friday night, 7 p.m. tip-off against Westcliff University on their Braun Athletic Center home court.

The team's next two games will be on the road and on consecutive Saturdays, kicking off November at Life Pacific University on Nov. 4 and then a big exhibition at UC Santa Barbara (NCAA Division I) on Nov. 11.
After that, the squad will heat up the Braun hardwood again with three games in five days, taking on Bethesda University (Calif.), UC Santa Cruz, and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Rounding out Novermber, The Beavers will hit the road to face University of La Verne to open SCIAC play. Last year the Beavers nearly knocked off the first-place Leopards in an overtime thriller.

December includes four games beginning on the 2nd at home against the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens, followed by a road game at Bethesda, continuing at home against rival Occidental College on the 16th and wrapping up on the 20th against Austin College in the Beavers' final nonconference matchup of the year.

As the calendar turns to 2024 and a nine-game January, Caltech will face Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges on the road before hosting Chapman University and Whittier College, traveling to face Occidental, University of Redlands, and California Lutheran University. The Beavers will return home for rematches against La Verne and CMS before wrapping January on the road at Chapman.

SCIAC play will wind down in February as Pomona-Pitzer will host the Beavers on the 3rd, and then Caltech's Senior Day will take place at home on the 10th against Cal Lutheran. The Beavers' regular season will finish on the road against Redlands on Valentine's Day and finally at Whittier on the 17th.
