TEMPE, Ariz. — The Caltech men's tennis team received 2024 All-Academic Team honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) on Wednesday with all 11 players also earning individual Scholar-Athlete distinction.
The squad secured team honors for achieving a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or higher on a 4.00 scale.
Additionally, all 11 Beavers on the roster collected individual Scholar-Athlete recognition for attaining a grade-point average of 3.2 or higher on a 4.00 scale. It is the fourth straight season in which every player rostered on the Caltech men's tennis team achieved the Scholar-Athlete honor.

"I am so proud of these guys setting the example of what it means to be a student-athlete," head coach
Adam Clark said. "These guys hold themselves to such a high standard academically and their work ethic is top notch. Caltech is challenging academically but these guys embrace that challenge and always meet it head on," he said. "They're pretty exceptional."
In May, College Sports Communicators named McCandless, Srinivasan, Wen and Zabelo to its
2024 Academic All-District Team. McCandless went on to receive the prestigious
Academic All-America distinction in June.
The academic awards come after a
superb season on the court this past spring. The 2024 team collected a host of accomplishments, including a No. 20 national ranking, a No. 4 regional ranking, three All-SCIAC nods and four ranked victories as part of a double-digit winning campaign. Three Beavers attained national rankings with one of those players tying the school record for singles wins in a single season. The program will return a strong group of young players as they take on 2024-25.
