Casanova, Luk Named to United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – United Soccer Coaches announced its 2025 All-Region Teams, including two Beavers among the region's top players.

Senior Etienne Casanova (Saratoga, Calif. / Saratoga) and sophomore Matthew Luk (Bel Air, Md. / C. Milton Wright) were each named to the NCAA Division III Region X Second Team, two of only four SCIAC Men's Soccer student-athletes recognized in the region's three All-Region teams.

The honor comes after both players were named to the All-SCIAC First Team, as Luk led the conference in points with eight goals and eight assists in conference play. Casanova matched Luk's eight goals as the two tied for fourth place in the SCIAC goals leader board. Both players were honored in the 2025 Caltech Men's Soccer Team Awards as well, with Luke named Most Valuable Player and Casanova receiving the Relentless Award.

"As much as this honor goes to two outstanding individuals, it's a testament to our whole team and the new standards they've set for Caltech Men's Soccer," said Head Coach Duncan Gillis. "No one succeeds alone, and the whole team helped Matt and ET flourish and have seasons worthy of this All-Region recognition."
