Caltech Baseball delivered several strong offensive moments during its SCIAC series against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) on April 24–25, 2026, highlighted by early-inning production and timely hitting.
In the April 24 series opener, the Beavers came out aggressively at the plate and built immediate momentum. Junior Jack Bernhardt had already opened the scoring in the 1st inning with an RBI double to left field. Sophomore Quinn Hartman (Huntington Beach, Calif. / Marina) kept the spark going in the 2nd inning with a two-RBI double down the left field line, bringing home two runs as part of a three-run frame. Caltech continued to apply pressure in the early innings, adding another run in the 3rd inning when senior Brendan Flaherty (Narragansett, RI / Lake Forest Academy) delivered an RBI single through the left side to score Bernhardt.
The early surge was fueled by consistent contact hitting, as Caltech finished the game with 10 hits, showcasing depth throughout the lineup and sustained offensive activity across multiple innings.
Caltech finishes its regular season against Chapman with a three-game set beginning on May 1 at Caltech North Field at 3 p.m.
