GREENWOOD, Ind. — The 2024 Div. III Academic All-District honors have been released by College Sports Communicators (CSC) and six members of the Caltech men's soccer team have achieved the recognition.
Seniors Andrew Chiang (Carlsbad, Calif. / Santa Fe Christian), Andy Dimnaku (Wellesley, Mass. / Wellesley), Alejandro Ortega Grisso (Mexico City, Mexico / American School Foundation) and Allen Yang (San Diego, Calif. / Del Norte) followed by junior Etienne Casanova (San Jose, Calif. / Saratoga) and sophomore Ethan Hamel (Portola Valley, Calif. / Woodside) all earned the outstanding honor.
The six impressive student-athletes achieved the honor through hard work on and off the field. Each Beaver maintained a grade average of 3.50 or higher as well as playing in 90 percent of Caltech's matches or started in at least 66 percent of them to earn the nod.
Casanova has been selected as a candidate for the CSC Academic-All America Teams and has advanced to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. The honorees will be announced on December 10, 2024.
