KANSAS CITY, Mo. – United Soccer Coaches announced its 2024-25 College Team Academic Award winners, and Caltech's men's soccer team is listed among the honorees.
The Beavers earned this honor by averaging at least a 3.0 grade point average (converted to a 4.0 scale) among all rostered players during the 2024-25 academic year. The team's performance in the labs and classrooms resulted in a tie for the third highest team GPA across all college divisions.
Undoubtedly aiding this team accomplishment were the six Caltech Men's Soccer student-athletes who received individal honors in the
College Sports Communicators Men's Soccer Academic All-District Team. Junior midfielder
Etienne Casanova (Saratoga, Calif. / Saratoga) then took it even further in becoming the first men's soccer Beaver to earn a
First Team Academic All-America distinction.
