PASADENA, Calif. — Caltech Athletics officially finalized its 2024-25 men's tennis schedule earlier this week.

Head coach Adam Clark and the Beavers will face off against a slew of high-level nonconference opponents before shifting to teams in the always-competitive Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC). The squad will look to top its impressive 2024 season, which saw the team achieve a No. 20 national ranking, a No. 4 regional ranking, three All-SCIAC nods and four ranked wins among 10 total victories. Additionally, three Beavers attained national rankings with one of those players tying the school record for single-season singles wins.

The team will compete in ITA West Regional play from Friday, Sep. 27 through Sunday, Sep. 29 before beginning its spring season against Azusa Pacific University in a road exhibition on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 2:30 p.m.

Caltech will host its official season opener on Saturday, Feb. 15 as the Beavers host the Golden Eagles from Division II's Concordia University Irvine. Action will begin at 2 p.m.

From there, the Beavers will host the University of California, Santa Cruz in another 2 p.m. battle on Saturday, Feb. 22. The program will seek its sixth consecutive win against the Banana Slugs after topping the visitors 7-2 this past spring.

Another notable nonconference match will come against Whitman College, who the Beavers defeated by a score of 6-3 after earning an early clinch. Caltech will look to earn its fifth straight win over the Blues as they face off on Thursday, Mar. 20 at 10 a.m. at home.

Clark and the men will wrap up the nonconference season on Thursday, Mar. 27 at 2 p.m. as they host George Fox University; last season, the Beavers downed the No. 33-ranked squad by a score of 5-4 to make it three straight victories over the program.

Caltech will kick off SCIAC play on Saturday, Mar. 29 as the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Stags come to Pasadena for a 3 p.m. showdown. The Beavers will then hit the road for a matchup against Whittier College on Friday, Apr. 4 at 4 p.m.; Caltech beat the Poets 7-2 this past April to make it five consecutive victories going back to 2018.

The group will look to earn a second straight 9-0 sweep over Occidental College as they hit the road for a 10 a.m. clash on Saturday, Apr. 12. The Beavers have won the last eight meetings between the two programs.

The team will compete in its final regular season match on Saturday, Apr. 19 as the Institute hosts Cal Lutheran University at 3 p.m. Caltech collected an 8-1 win over the school in 2024 to pick up their tenth win of the season and fourth straight over the Kingsmen.
