PASADENA, Calif. — Caltech Women's Tennis officially announced its 2024-25 schedule earlier this week.

The team will look to top its exceptional showing from this past spring, which saw the Beavers reach the 2024 SCIAC Postseason Tournament semifinals after earning four ranked wins and ranking as high as No. 27 nationally and No. 5 regionally (Div. III). The squad collected four key regular season conference victories to earn their spot in the four-team conference postseason tourney; it was the program's second SCIAC playoff appearance in three years. At the individual level, one Beaver achieved a regional singles ranking while one other received All-SCIAC recognition.

This year's squad will first take on ITA West Regional play from Friday, Sep. 27 through Sunday, Sep. 29 before kicking off the spring season with a pair of road exhibition matches. The squad will face off against the University of California, Irvine on Friday, Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. before battling CSUN on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 12 p.m.

The Beavers will officially open the season on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. as they host Division II's Concordia University Irvine. Head coach Nyssa Peele's squad will go on to face several additional nonconference opponents, including the Eagles of the University of Mary Washington, who come to Pasadena on Tuesday, Mar. 4 with action beginning at 3 p.m. The Beavers topped the eastern foe, 6-3, in their most recent meeting.

Caltech will go on to seek its fourth consecutive win over Vassar College as the Institute hosts the Brewers on Wednesday, Mar. 12 at 3 p.m. The Beavers earned a statement win over Vassar last season as they downed the No. 33-ranked squad by a score of 7-2. 

The program will strive for its fourth straight win over Whitman College as the Blues come to Pasadena for a 2 p.m. match on Thursday, Mar. 20. Last March, the Beavers collected a 6-3 win over the No. 40-ranked squad.

Caltech will kick off conference play on the road as the Beavers battle the Athenas of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges on Saturday, Mar. 29 at 12 p.m. The team will go on to host their conference home opener on Tuesday, Apr. 1 at 3 p.m. as the Beavers look for their seventh straight win over Whittier College. Caltech sailed to the 7-2 victory over the Poets this past season.

The team will compete in a pair of critical road matches in mid-April as the team heads to Chapman University on Friday, Apr. 11 at 4:30 p.m. before facing Occidental College on Saturday, Apr. 12 at 3 p.m. Caltech earned a key 6-3 win over No. 38 Chapman last season before downing Oxy, 6-3, in the Beavers' final home contest of the campaign. The Beavers will look to earn their eighth straight win over the Tigers and their 13th win in their last 14 meetings.

The Beavers will compete in their final regular season home match on Saturday, Apr. 19 as the team hosts Cal Lutheran University for a 10 a.m. showdown. Caltech took down the No. 50-ranked squad this past season, 5-4, to guarantee a spot in the SCIAC Postseason Tournament. It was the Beavers' seventh consecutive win over the Regals.
