One of two three-sport athletes in this year's class Hall of Honor class, Penserini was a one-time Caltech record holder for most hits in a season.

In 2011-12 he hit a remarkable .430 through 93 at-bats, ranking second in SCIAC in that category. By the time he graduated in 2013, he had become one of the greatest hitters ever to grace Caltech's North Field.   

He was named the Caltech Male Athlete of the Year in both 2012 and 2013.
