Caltech soccer's all-time goals leader on record, Eisman tallied 21 scores over 45 games in a career that devastatingly was cut short by a broken leg in his senior year. A two-time First Team All-SCIAC selection, he also is the only Beaver on record able to claim a 10-goal season, which earned him NAIA District 3 First Team recognition and All-America consideration as a junior. He was a member of the program's most recent winning team, which placed third in the conference in 1969.

Eisman earned his doctorate in mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley before embarking on a lauded career at San Francisco State University as a professor, department chair and Director of the Institute for Civic and Community Engagement. He has received multiple commendations, including the California Campus Compact's 2010 Richard E. Cone Award recognizing his accomplishments in creating and sustaining student and faculty community service throughout the state.
