PASADENA, Calif. — Caltech Athletics officially released the 2024 women's soccer schedule on Thursday morning.

The Beavers will take on several strong opponents in nonconference play before facing a host of talented foes in the always-strong Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC).

Caltech will play 15 regular season games this fall as they look to take a step up after a hard-fought 2023 season that saw junior forward Jennifer Solgaard (Palo Alto, Calif. / Palo Alto) break the program's career goals record (11) and tie the single-season assists record (three). The standout also continued the yearly streak of at least one Caltech women's soccer player collecting All-SCIAC honors, making it five straight seasons with one or more players earning the prestigious honor.

Head coach Emmy Meyring and the squad will open the 2024 campaign with a home exhibition against Stanton University on Saturday, Aug. 24 at 11 a.m. before officially kicking off the season with a home clash against Whitman College on Friday, Aug. 30 at 2 p.m.

From there, the group will head north to Oregon where they will face Linfield University on Friday, Sep. 6 at 7 p.m. Last year, the Beavers produced an exhilarating 1-1 draw with the Wildcats at home after Solgaard found the back of the net in the 79th minute. The Beavers will stay in Oregon for their first-ever meeting with Willamette University on Sunday, Sep. 8 at 11 a.m. before returning home to Pasadena.

Caltech will begin conference play on Wednesday, Sep. 18 as the squad heads to Occidental College for a 7 p.m. road battle. The Beavers played some of their strongest soccer against the Tigers one year ago, tying them 2-2 on Senior Day behind a goal from Solgaard and another from rookie midfielder Louise Marie Choi-Schattle (Barrington, R.I. / Barrington).

The team will compete in its conference home opener the following Saturday, Sep. 21 at 11 a.m. as Caltech serves host to the Sagehens of Pomona-Pitzer Colleges.

Another important game on the 2024 schedule will come on Wednesday, Oct. 9, as the Beavers host a 4 p.m. rematch against the University of Redlands. Last season, the Beavers tied the Bulldogs in a scoreless defensive showdown after losing to the squad by three goals earlier in the year.

The program will celebrate its seniors prior to their final home contest on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 2 p.m. Please join us before the game as the group recognizes its graduating teammates before the squad faces off against the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athenas.

The Beavers will conclude their regular season on the road as they take on the University of La Verne on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m.
